LAST PIECE OF STEEL SET INTO PLACE FOR NEW SENECA ALLEGANY CASINO AND HOTEL

Facility scheduled to open later this year

SALAMANCA, NEW YORK - The new Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel project reached another important milestone today when the last piece of steel for the facility's frame was set into place.

Leaders from the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Seneca Gaming Corporation were joined by invited guests as union construction workers hoisted the beam to the top of the 11-story structure. The milestone event comes just eight months after ground was officially broken for the $140 million 220-room hotel and permanent casino facility.

"I am sure each of us remembers the excitement and anticipation we felt that day," said Brian Hansberry, Chief Operating Officer, Seneca Allegany Casino. "Later this year, the new Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel will open its doors to the world - and we know that they will be impressed."

Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel will boast 220 luxury hotel rooms, three new restaurants and a full-service spa. The project's completion will also trigger the transfer of the gaming operation from the current facility, which was built as a temporary casino, into the new building.

The new Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel will offer patrons 64,500 square feet of gaming, including more than 2,100 slot machines and more than 40 table games.

The facility is also expected to increase employment at Seneca Allegany Casino to more than 1,300 employees.

"This project is special in many ways, but one important reason that this facility and this project stand out is because we are bringing jobs and opportunities to our Allegany Territory," Barry E. Snyder, Sr., President of the Seneca Nation of Indians and Chairman of Seneca Gaming Corporation, said. "More than 900 people work at Seneca Allegany Casino now, and more than 400 new jobs will be created with this hotel project."

Recruiting for the new facility has already begun, and Seneca Gaming Corporation personnel are planning to conduct several job fairs throughout the Southern Tier over the next few months.

Since opening on May 1, 2004, Seneca Allegany Casino has established itself as one of the region's leading entertainment facilities, attracting more than 5 million people during that time. More than 63 percent of the casino's patrons travel from outside of New York State, predominantly from Pennsylvania and Ohio.

"The hotel is an exciting next step," Hansberry said. "Once this world-class amenity is open, we hope to strengthen our ability to not only attract visitors from outside the area, but also to extend their stay in the Southern Tier so they can truly experience the region and find more reasons to come back.
