Shults Auto 500 made donation for every car purchase
SALAMANCA, NEW YORK - A unique promotion held at Seneca Allegany Casino during October has paid off for the Seneca Diabetes Foundation.
Tim Shults, from the Shults Auto Group, recently presented Seneca Nation President Barry E. Snyder, Sr. and Seneca Nation Treasurer Maurice John a $3000 check for the Seneca Diabetes Foundation from the Shults Auto 500 promotion. Diabetes has become a severe health problem for the people of Seneca Nation.
Conducted at Seneca Allegany Casino from October 14 to October 17, the Shults Auto 500 offered casino patrons, employees and employees of the Seneca Nation of Indians the opportunity to get a deal on the purchase of a car and the chance to win a new 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca.
All participants received a special scratch-off good for $250 - $1,000 toward the purchase of a new or used vehicle from Shults Auto Group. For every vehicle purchased over the four-day period, Shults donated $50 to the Diabetes Foundation.
"The Shults Auto 500 was an exciting promotion that our patrons and employees enjoyed a great deal," Brian Hansberry, Chief Operating Officer, Seneca Allegany Casino, said. "More than anything, we are extremely pleased that we were able to generate needed dollars for such an important and worthy cause."
More than 300 vehicles were on display at Seneca Allegany casino during the promotion, while 2,000 vehicles were available via the Shults Auto Group's website.
The Seneca Diabetes Foundation was formed in 2004 to fund diabetes education, prevention and research programs among the people of the Seneca Nation and others. Nearly 50 percent of all Seneca adults are affected by the disease.
