SENECA ALLEGANY CASINO COOKING UP SUPPORT FOR HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF EFFORT
SALAMANCA, NEW YORK -Seneca Allegany Casino will be turning up the heat to support the on-going relief effort for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Casino officials announced that a barbeque will be held at Seneca Allegany Casino from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday, September 23 to raise funds for the effort. For a $5 donation, the public can enjoy a savory menu prepared by the Seneca Allegany Casino culinary staff. All of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the relief effort.
"The devastation throughout the Gulf Coast area is tragic and we want to do our part to assist the thousands of people whose lives have been forever impacted by the hurricane," Brian Hansberry, Chief Operating Officer, Seneca Allegany Casino, said. "We invite all of our neighbors from throughout Western New York, northern Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas to help us demonstrate the generous nature of our region by supporting this worthiest of causes."
The barbeque is the latest in a series of efforts by the Seneca Gaming Corporation to aid in the hurricane aftermath. The Corporation made a $5,000 contribution to the American Red Cross at the beginning of the month, while employees of both Seneca Allegany Casino and Seneca Niagara Casino collected non-perishable goods to send to the Gulf Coast. Donation boxes have been posted at both casinos since the Labor Day weekend, as well.
Seneca Allegany Casino features Vegas-style gaming and a Poker Room. The 122,000 square-foot Casino consists of table games including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Caribbean Stud Poker, Let It Ride� and 3 Card Poker, more than 1,800 reel-spinning and video slot machines, two snack bars, Thunder Mountain Buffet, Eight Clans Gift Shop, live weekend entertainment and complimentary beverages while gaming. Free parking is available to patrons through complimentary valet services, self-parking areas, and an eight-story garage with covered walkway. The Casino is owned and operated by the Seneca Nation of Indians.
