SENECA ALLEGANY CASINO TO CELEBRATE 1st ANNIVERSARY
Salamanca, New York, April 2005 - Now that more than 2 million patrons have walked through its doors winning more than $19 million in jackpots, Seneca Allegany Casino is geared up for its second year of operation.
Seneca Allegany Casino will mark its first anniversary on Sunday, May 1, 2005, completing a successful first year while looking forward to an even bigger future.
"Our first year has been fantastic," Barry E. Snyder, Sr., President of the Seneca Nation of Indians and Chairman of the Seneca Gaming Corporation said. "Our employees have worked very hard to provide a first-class gaming and entertainment experience for our patrons, from our smoking and non-smoking gaming areas to our quality live entertainment. We look forward to building on our success to create even more reasons to visit Seneca Allegany Casino in our second year and beyond."
Since its grand opening, Seneca Allegany Casino has added a world-class Poker Room, where poker enthusiasts can try their hand at games such as Texas Hold'em, Omaha and 7 Card Stud.
Indeed, more changes are on the way, according to Snyder. Construction of the Casino's eight-story parking garage is expected to be complete by mid-summer, and plans to break ground on a resort hotel are tentatively scheduled for later this year.
"In terms of what Seneca Allegany Casino can be, I think we've only scratched the surface," Snyder added. "We not only want to be the premier entertainment destination in the area, but a destination for travelers far and wide as well."
In addition to the physical growth and changes, Seneca Allegany Casino has made its mark on the local economy, as well. The Casino employs more than 800 workers and conducts business with local vendors and suppliers.
"The Salamanca community has welcomed us, and we are proud to be a viable part of the community," Snyder said. "From a workforce standpoint alone, we have more than 800 employees who live, shop and enjoy recreation activities in the area."
Seneca Allegany Casino features Vegas-style gaming and a Poker Room. The 122,000 square-foot Casino consists of table games including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Caribbean Stud Poker, Let It Ride and 3 Card Poker, more than 1,800 reel-spinning and video slot machines, two snack bars, Thunder Mountain Buffet, Eight Clans Gift Shop, live weekend entertainment and a bus lobby. The Casino also offers free valet and self-parking and complimentary beverages while gaming. The Casino is owned and operated by the Seneca Nation of Indians.
