TRAVIS TRITT TO PLAY OPENING CONCERT AT NEW SENECA ALLEGANY CASINO & HOTEL
Country superstar to perform March 31
SALAMANCA, NEW YORK - When the new Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel opens next month, it will open with a high-powered, energetic performance from one of country music's biggest stars.
Travis Tritt will perform in the original casino facility, now the Seneca Events Center, on Saturday, March 31 at 8 pm. Tickets are on sale for $55, $65, and $75 and can be purchased at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel, all Ticketmaster locations, and on-line at www.SenecaAlleganyCasino.com or at www.ticketmaster.com.
This will be the first major indoor concert held at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel since the original casino opened on May 1, 2004.
With the entire gaming operation now moved into the permanent grand casino, Seneca Gaming Corporation has the ability to use the original casino space for entertainment and other purposes.
"The grand opening of our new resort hotel is a momentous occasion and accomplishment for Seneca Gaming Corporation and for the Seneca Nation of Indians," said Brian Hansberry, Interim President and CEO, Seneca Gaming Corporation said. "We are ushering in a new era in entertainment for the Southern Tier and are excited to celebrate this latest achievement with a spectacular concert event."
Future plans call for the original casino space to be permanently remodeled into entertainment, office and support space, but that work will not begin until later this year.
begin until later this year.
While Seneca Gaming Corporation may plan outdoor concerts at Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel in 2007, no decision has been made on whether additional indoor performances will be scheduled before the renovations to the original casino facility are complete.
"We've been able to bring some fantastic outdoor performances to the region over the past two years, and we look forward to continuing that this year," Hansberry said. "The use of the original casino building for entertainment purposes will be determined when design and construction schedules are completed."
Tritt has been a star on the country scene for more than 15 years. His honky-tonk sound and outlaw style have brought out such hits as "Country Club," "Here's A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)," "Anymore," and dozens more.
The new Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel will feature 212 luxury rooms, three new restaurants, a full-service spa and salon and other amenities.
